Competitive Gymnastics Coach & Team Leader - MILFORD

Kids First TOO and GRIT Gymnastics is looking for an experienced, passionate gymnastics coach who wants to do more than coach routines. We're searching for someone who is excited to develop athletes, mentor coaches, and help shape the future of a growing Xcel competitive gymnastics program.

Whether you're looking for a part-time coaching role or a full-time leadership opportunity, we'd love to find the right fit for the right person.

Coaching

  • Coach Xcel competitive gymnastics athletes in a positive, athlete-centered environment.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, progressive practices that emphasize strong fundamentals and long-term athlete development.
  • Prepare athletes for competitions while promoting confidence, resilience, and a love for the sport.
  • Build positive relationships with athletes and families through consistent communication.

 

Leadership

  • Partner with the GRIT Gymnastics leadership team to guide the direction and growth of our competitive program.
  • Develop season plans, lesson plans, and practice curriculum.
  • Assist with periodization planning and athlete progression.
  • Support coach education, mentoring, and staff development.
  • Help oversee team administration including scheduling, evaluations, communication, and meet preparation.
  • Participate in enrollment planning, budgeting, and financial discussions to support a healthy, sustainable program.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to maintain alignment with company values and strategic goals.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced coaching Xcel gymnastics (USAG experience preferred)
  • Passionate about athlete development and positive coaching
  • Interested in leadership, mentoring, and program development
  • Organized, dependable, and proactive
  • Comfortable communicating with families and staff
  • Excited to collaborate and contribute ideas
  • Committed to continuous learning and professional growth

Leadership experience is a plus, but we're also interested in coaches who are ready to take the next step in their career.

Qualifications

  • Experience coaching competitive gymnastics
  • Knowledge of skill progressions, safe spotting techniques, and athlete development
  • Ability to create structured lesson plans and season-long training plans
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Current USAG certifications (or ability to obtain)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
