JOB SUMMARY
As a Mail Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in the initial stages of our mail processing pipeline. Your primary responsibility is to manually open and inspect all incoming mail with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. This includes carefully extracting and sorting payments (coins, checks, cash) by client and promptly escalating any valuable items to a supervisor. You will be responsible for preparing mail for the next team and ensuring a steady, uninterrupted workflow to consistently meet all service level agreements (SLAs). Your diligent work is essential to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our mail operations.

Responsibilities and Activities:
- Carefully open and inspect mail, pulling out coins from reply documents and sorting them by client.
- Thoroughly check all documents for any missed notes, checks, or cash, and immediately bring these items to a supervisor.
- Process all incoming mail using a counter, rather than high-speed equipment, to ensure no valuable items are missed.
- Prepare all mail for the mail opening team, maintaining a steady workflow to meet all service level agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and focus to prevent any disruptions in the mail processing pipeline.
