Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support main operations of the Mill Hall site including: production, supply chain, engineering, logistics and other site functions in ensuring a quality product is being produced within defined specifications.

  • Develop, document, and implement QMS procedures, work instructions, quality forms, and policies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and internal requirements.

  • Manage the non-conformance system ensuring timely investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of effective corrective actions are taken.

  • Maintain ISO internal and external audit system by coordinating audit schedule, performing audits, providing/organizing audit documentation.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for QMS improvement and lead projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall product and service quality. 

  • Schedule outside vendors for laboratory calibrations and ensure internal calibrations are completed within the defined frequencies. 

  • Works with subject matter experts to determine correct specification and supports control chart data required for customer inquiries.

  • Works with various departmental teams to investigate supplier quality issues, internal or external customer complaints.

  • Provide customer facing support for quality issues.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.

  • 3+ years related experience in the operations departments of chemical manufacturing facilities.

  • Skilled in interfacing effectively with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills.

  • Experience with statistical process control and other quality tools.

  • Ability to be on call for off hours technical support

  • Strong desire to learn, participate and make an overall positive impact on continuous Quality improvement, both in the product and in the process.
