An exciting career awaits you at Pomerene. We are looking for a full-time RN Float/Clinical Supervisor to join our team. Working hours for this position are 7:00PM - 7:00AM.  The RN Float/Clinical Supervisor will float departments as needed and will need to be available for weekends and holidays in supervision.  

Position Summary:

The RN Float/Clinical Supervisor will demonstrate a support of the hospital's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan in a team-oriented environment. The RN Float/Clinical Supervisor will perform all job duties in compliance with laws, regulations, and in observance of accrediting agency standards and related professional organization standards. 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe, timely, effective, quality, age appropriate, cost conscious, evidence-based care while utilizing the nursing process and holistic patient care. 
  • Utilize critical thinking skills while overseeing overall hospital operations and patient care during the absence of Administration. 
  • Move throughout the facility as needed, appropriately assisting in emergency drills and situations. 
  • Coordinate patient care as assigned, which includes assessing and interpreting patient care information and data. 
  • Effective direct staff and support patient care.
  • Communicate appropriately with unit staff, physicians, ancillary departments, and families.       

Education & Experience:

  • ADN required. 
  • BSN preferred.
  • Valid State of Ohio Licensure required.
  • 3-5 years of healthcare/medical experience as a Registered Nurse preferred. 
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required and may be obtained during the orientation period. 
  • NIMS and NIHSS certifications are required and may be obtained within the first year.
