Lead Mitigation Technician

Aaction Home Repairs & Restoration is seeking an experienced, hardworking, and dependable Lead Mitigation Technician to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience in water, fire, mold, and storm damage mitigation and is ready to take a leadership role in the field. The right candidate will lead crews, oversee mitigation projects, ensure quality workmanship, and provide excellent customer service during difficult situations.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Lead Mitigation Technician, you will be responsible for managing mitigation projects from initial emergency response through completion while helping guide and develop team members.
Responsibilities Include:
- Respond to emergency service calls for water, fire, mold, storm, and other property damage losses
- Lead and supervise mitigation crews on residential and commercial projects
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, debris removal, contents manipulation, and other mitigation services
- Monitor drying progress and document findings using company equipment and software
- Set up and remove drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA filtration devices, and other specialty equipment
- Complete required job documentation, moisture readings, photos, and daily records
- Ensure projects meet company standards, industry guidelines, and customer expectations
- Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, project managers, and team members
- Train and mentor mitigation technicians and helpers
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Participate in rotating on-call and after-hours emergency response schedules
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, or related restoration services
- Has leadership experience or the ability to successfully lead a team
- Is dependable, organized, and self-motivated
- Can work efficiently in fast-paced and emergency situations
- Has strong communication and customer service skills
- Is comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and job documentation software
- Can lift and move equipment and materials as required
- Maintains a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
The following certifications are strongly preferred:
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT)
- Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
- Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)
- Mold Remediation Technician (AMRT)
- Other restoration industry certifications
Certification assistance may be available for qualified candidates seeking advancement.
