Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Machinist will produce complex metal components with precision and efficiency while maintaining high production and quality standards. This position involves CNC programming, machine setup, operation, inspection, and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and program CNC lathes and milling machines.
  • Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC G-code and M-code programs.
  • Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to specifications.
  • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMM equipment, and related inspection tools.
  • Use CAD/CAM software for part design support and toolpath generation.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Perform machine calibration, tool changes, adjustments, and basic maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow established safety and quality procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and production goals.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, including CNC setup, programming, and operation.
  • Experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines; Fanuc control experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret GD&T requirements.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
  • Knowledge of machining tools, grinders, hand tools, power tools, and tooling setups.
  • Ability to operate manual machining equipment, such as lathes or grinders, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks.
  • Understanding of G-code, M-code, and basic machining calculations.
  • Experience following safety procedures for CNC machinery and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with metal machining, plastics injection molding, or related manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Welding, forklift operation, and lean manufacturing experience are additional advantages.
