Austin Engineering USA is looking for Welders to weld metal components together with a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate products such as truck bodies, buckets, cable reels, and water tanks.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   

  •  Must be proficient in the use of GMAW-P (MIG), FCAW, Air Arc, and the use of oxy fuel torch for fabrication and repair.
  • Welds metal pieces/parts assembled by Combination Welder and/or welds components of various metal pieces/parts by following procedures and instructions provided by shift supervisor. 
  •  Welds horizontal, vertical, and some overhead with .052 FCAW and GMAW-P.
  •  Uses air arc to cut or remove lifting tabs, needle chipper to remove slag build-up, and uses grinder to smooth surface or remove tacks.  
  •  Inspects for work not meeting specifications, and repairs by removing weld and/or cutting according to specifications.
  •  Obtains and transports specified pieces/parts, tools, equipment and 60 pound weld wire as needed to work station to use for welding.
  •  Operates hoists by pushing buttons while guiding heavy suspended loads while walking.
  • Complies with all applicable safety guidelines at all times by correcting hazards, informing supervisor, or recommending guidance to co-worker(s) to avoid injury or damage to employees.
