Primary Purpose

Oversees and directs the effective implementation and administration of different Human Resources activities, specifically employee engagement, policy administration and coaching supervisors and managers in performance management. Ensures information is communicated timely and accurately to best support the business. Ensures adherence to all employment-related legal requirements. Ensures investigations are completed thoroughly and timely. Ensures the Employee Relations Managers, Benefits Supervisors and Human Resources Generalists receive development in their roles. Ensures strategies to improve retention and employee relations are implemented consistently and effectively.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Ensures employees are engaged in a meaningful way to promote retention and job satisfaction.
  2. Provides direction and support to the Employee Relations Managers, Benefits Supervisors and the Human Resources Generalists.
  3. Partners with internal customers to ensure employee relations practices are fostering an environment that is in keeping with company culture.
  4. Partners with internal customers to support performance management and the development of employees.
  5. Ensures investigations and employment compliance issues are resolved timely and quality work products are produced.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years’ Human Resources experience with 2 or more years in a supervisory role.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
