What the Dishwasher does!
As a part-time dishwasher, you are in an important behind-the-scenes position for our winery and kitchen. You’ll clean and provide upkeep to our kitchen, prep area, and serviceware, utensils, and tools. Working at our historic winery in Los Gatos or off-site Kitchen in San Jose, the day-to-day may include:
- Preparing dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools for cleaning
- Maintaining multiple areas such as the kitchen, prep area, bathroom, and other assigned areas is stocked and tidy throughout the event
- Conducting sanitization procedure to ensure safety measure
- Supporting the culinary team with food prep or front of house team with setup
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen preferred
- Must possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Basic English required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Availability to work mornings and weekendsÂ
- Ability to stand and engage in physical activity for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently
- Repetitive motions include, but are not limited to: reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing/pulling, bending and stooping
- Works frequently in hot and damp environment
- Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
- Frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
