Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic government transit location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism and clear communication. Pay Rate: $22.83 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at transportation and government locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and communicate with site contacts, first responders, and/or dispatch when needed.
• Support daily operations by observing for maintenance issues, policy violations, and suspicious behavior, then escalating security-related concerns through appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
