The Operating Room at BID Milton is a close knit team with a shared vision for providing exceptional care and creating a healthy workplace.  We have seven operating rooms open for elective procedures Monday to Friday, with night and weekend on-call teams for urgent cases. We provided specialized services to our surgical patients to include orthopedics, robotics, OTO-HNS, plastics, gynecology, genitourinary, general, vascular and neurology.  We have a mix of both inpatient and outpatient cases daily with an experienced and professional PACU team.

This position is per diem position- with day shifts and potential 5pm-9pm shifts

Job Description:

Position Function:

To assist with patient transporting within the Operating Room suite, maintenance of adequately stocked supplies, cleaning, and running errands as required.

To perform job functions in a manner which promotes the safety and health of the work, co-workers, patients, and visitors in Milton Hospital.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Director, assists in transporting patients to and from the Operating Room. Assists in moving patients on and off the OR table at beginning and end of surgery, assists staff as needed with turning, lifting, holding, and position of patients.

  • Cleans and assembles the Operating Room after each procedure is completed. Disposes of linen and rubbish properly. Keeps stretchers clean, using proper disinfectant, and ready to use at all times
  • Is familiar with and uses aseptic techniques in the cleaning of all equipment and areas of the Operating Room and Anesthesia area. Wears proper Operating Room attire as appropriate.
  • Attends and participate in formal and informal training programs as appropriate or as directed. Attends and participates in staff and unit meetings as appropriate.
  • Attends mandatory review and education programs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Equivalent to the completion of high school plus up to one month of on-the-job training

Pay Range:

$20.00 - $26.92

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
