Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology for a 13-week travel assignment in Malta, NY.

  • Hourly Pay: $ 32.50

  • Weekend Requirements: TBD
  • EMR System: EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - PLEASE NOTE EXPERIENCE ON SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO PREVENT DELAYS
  • Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color - No designs or cartoons. No hoodies.
  • Non-Billable Orientation: 8 HRs
  • Cancellation policy: Facility can cancel up to 5 shifts per 13 week contract, must give 2 hr notice
  • COVID vaccinations encouraged, but not required.

** Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).

Outpatient Infusion Center is dedicated to providing patient care excellence. We offer a comfortable and convenient outpatient setting for those who require frequent infusions of medications. Infusion services are provided by a staff of registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patients
  • Administering cancer treatments
  • Explaining the treatments and answering questions for patients
  • Managing the side effects of cancer treatments and helping manage pain
  • Monitoring vitals of patients
  • Coordinating the patient’s care with all other providers
  • Supporting the emotional well-being of patients
  • Providing information on resources for family members

Compensation:

  • Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)
  • Pay package details provided upon offer

Requirements


Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have 2+years Current experience in outpatient oncology and infusion- [REQUIRED]
  • Chemo Cert (ONS) and Oncology Certified RN (OCN) - [REQUIRED]
  • Peripheral IV Insertion experience - [required]
  • Port/Fistula/Catheter experience- [Required]
  • IV Certification - [Highly preferred]
  • EPIC Experience is required
  • Previous traveler- [preferred]
  • BSN - [preferred]
  • EPIC Experience - [Required]
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability

Compliance/Screening (Pre-Start):

  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
