Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) is seeking a talented and compassionate Mental Health Professional to support children, adolescents, and families in a structured therapeutic setting.

Position Summary

The Mental Health Professional is responsible for delivering therapeutic services, developing individualized treatment plans, and supporting positive outcomes for youth. This role collaborates closely with treatment teams, referral sources, and families to provide effective, evidence-based care within a structured clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counseling sessions to assigned youth
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Document clinical services through progress notes and reports
  • Communicate effectively with referral sources and multidisciplinary team members
  • Support a structured and therapeutic environment for clients
  • Participate in treatment planning and team collaboration
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Facilitate group and family therapy sessions, including Strategic Family Therapy
  • Participate in assessments, treatment reviews, and discharge planning
  • Develop and contribute to therapeutic group curriculum
  • Provide clinical guidance and consultation to Mental Health Counselors as needed
  • May provide supervision or oversight to Mental Health Counselors based on program needs
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as required by program needs
  • Work within the A.R.R.T.S. (Abuse Resolution Recovery Trauma Services) program, providing specialized treatment for youth with complex trauma histories and high-risk behavioral needs, including sexually reactive behaviors
  • Work directly with at-risk youth in a structured environment that may include managing challenging behaviors


Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in behavioral health with children and adolescents
  • Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
  • Experience working with trauma and abuse is required
  • Must obtain certification in the treatment of sexually reactive youth within one year of hire

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of experience working with children and adolescents
  • Experience in residential or trauma-informed care settings


Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to obtain required PA clearances (Act 33, Criminal History, FBI Act 73)
  • Ability to pass Safe Crisis Management training
  • Valid driver’s license

Work Location

This is an in-person position. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the assigned program location.
