EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven success in sales and/or service.
  • Experience within the pulp and paper industry preferred.
  • Established relationships with pulp and paper customers within the region are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Responsibilities

  • Sell Pulp Service products and solutions across the following process areas:
    • Wood Yard
    • Cooking
    • Lime Kiln
    • Recausticizing
    • Evaporators
    • Power & Recovery Boiler Areas
    • Automation
  • Conduct regular customer visits throughout Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Follow up on quotations and gather competitive intelligence, technical preferences, pricing information, and customer decision timelines.
  • Manage and maintain opportunity information within the company CRM system.
  • Collaborate closely with product group personnel on all opportunities.
  • Participate in and support final negotiations to secure orders.

Customer Relationship Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations personnel.
  • Ensure customer concerns and issues are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Coordinate and participate in customer presentations for project opportunities and technology updates.
  • Participate in industry events, including Digester Seminars, BLRBAC, and other industry conferences.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage territory sales forecasts, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Develop strategic sales growth plans for assigned accounts and territory.
  • Document customer visits and interactions in a timely manner through the Customer Interaction Center.
  • Communicate territory activity and customer intelligence effectively across the organization.
