Freedom is proud to be one of the largest, privately held direct mail service providers in the United States. We are a family-owned business entering our 40th year in operation and are excited to expand our national footprint. We’re looking for people who are interested in training to run a printing press.

Our unique, self-paced training program offers a combination of classroom and hands-on training that has you working with a mentor to learn how to run a printing press.   No prior experience is necessary.   All you need is mechanical aptitude, good color vision, and a desire to learn.

In this position you will:

  • Gain an understanding of digital printing and the 4-color printing process
  • Learn how to hang paper rolls, create splices, and maintain the press
  • Work with the Press Operator to set up the press to run jobs using job instructions prepared specifically for each project
  • Learn how to monitor the press while it’s running and make adjustments to ensure that high-quality materials are being produced
  • Gain the confidence and skills necessary to run the press independently

Experience and Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred
  • Basic proficiency with computers
  • Experience using Windows preferred but not required
  • Prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
