Summary:
The maintenance position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties such as installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, building and facilities maintenance. They are responsible for ensuring smooth operation of the facilities equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines, including but not limited to vertical machining centers, lathes, and boring mills.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of shop equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs as required.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of the facility’s equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on the facilities machines and equipment.
- Perform a variety of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical functions of facilities support equipment and production machinery.
- Use a variety of hand, power, and other machine tools.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associates or Technical School in industrial maintenance is preferred.
- Three to five years related experience and/or training
- Minimum of two years experience with hand and welding tools.
- Any machine, safety, or other related manufacturing certifications preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a 'Secret' security clearance.
