Salary Range:

$100,000 USD - $115,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Job Description:

You will be responsible for the support, creation, and delivery of the highest level of consultative expertise in the areas of Russell Investments’ investment management and capital markets insight for Americas Intermediary Services (AIS).  In close coordination with the Consulting Directors, you will act as a central management and coordination point for addressing specific internal and external client needs and requests.

This will involve securing, creating, reviewing and coordinating the appropriate internal resources and expertise in response to client needs.  The position will need to be extremely analytical with respect to the creation of output in support of the Portfolio Consulting Group in the areas of investment management products, , competitor analysis, and capital markets research.

You will help to leverage Consulting Directors’ time and efforts to allow more meaningful dialogue with advisors, partners, sales/service teams, etc. 

In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with business units across the firm, such as the Investment Division, Product, Sales & Service, Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Compliance, and Performance Reporting. As such, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of effective collaboration, a “team-first” mindset, strong work ethic, the organizational skills and flexibility to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives concurrently, as well as a desire to grow their skills and knowledge.  
 

The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:

  • Support of Consulting Directors in creation of quarterly materials, product presentations, market commentaries, competitor insights, data searches, etc.
  • Design and create custom analysis to support growth of various product lines including mutual funds, model portfolios, ETFs and direct indexing strategies
  • Create/review commentary for capital markets and investment products for client materials
  • Work in close partnership with Sales and Service Teams responding to ad-hoc inquiries related to Russell Investments products, , market data, competitor analysis, market trends, fund flows, etc.
  • Present analysis and market related commentary in client meetings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences, including the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 
  • CFA or progress towards CFA preferred 
  • FINRA licensed or willing to obtain the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 within 180 days of hire.
  • 2-5 years of experience working directly with clients/ investors in either a consulting, sales, service , or analytical capacity 
  • Strong knowledge of global capital markets, the wealth management industry, investment vehicles commonly used by financial advisors (e.g., mutual funds, model strategies, separately managed accounts), and investment process review 
  • Proven technical and system skills (e.g., solid knowledge of financial concepts and performance measurement standards and the mathematics behind them; knowledge of Morningstar Direct,; strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related tools) 
  • Proven analytical thinking, including exploring all sources of information and providing honest analysis for effective, timely decisions 
  • Strong communication skills with team members, colleagues, and clients, and the ability to find engaging ways to explain complex concepts in a simple and easy-to-understand manner 
  • Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment 
  • Hands-on experience working with a Consulting Director with the opportunity to potentially progress to consulting director.
  • Self-starter and prior self-directed work experience
