Position Summary: The Service and Facility Technician will drive a company vehicle to company locations to provide prompt, efficient, quality work in the service of commercial laundry equipment and various levels of building maintenance and repair for stores. The position will complete essential repairs as well as routine maintenance at each store location. The Service and Facility Technician will support the completion installation of washers, dryers and other equipment as needed. The position functions as a critical connection between Blue Kangaroo, Headquarters, and Stores. This opportunity is available to applicants in the Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. Training is provided for qualified candidates.

- Customer Service Skills; Serving both the internal and external customer with clear and helpful communication.
- Diagnostic skills; Comprehension and repair of wiring schematics.
- Minimal language skills-Ability to communicate in Spanish highly desired.
- Organization skills: ability to plan routine maintenance while attending to urgent repairs.Â
- Intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Position Duties:
- Follow policies and procedures for DRS Employees.
- Required to report to office parts and labor information regarding all maintenance and repairs of washers, dryers, and other location equipment.
- Performs repairs of store space including but not limited to restrooms, flooring, lighting, parking lot, and all other functional areas. May complete landscaping if needed. Â
- Assists in installation of equipment as needed. Â
- Ensures safety standards are followed during all phases of repair, installation, or maintenance. Â
- Recognize repairs or maintenance beyond capacity or capability and request support internally for completion. Â
- Serve as contact/coordinator for projects requiring outside contractor services.
- Communication with VP/General Manager on a consistent basis.
- Drives a DRS company vehicle as an essential function of the job.
- Maintain an excellent driving record. Â Â

Essential education, licenses, certifications, skills and experience needed for this position:
- Prior experience or exposure to maintenance and repair within laundry or comparable industry.
- Valid in-state Driver’s License required with an approved Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

- Physical demands: While performing duties of the job, employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger/handle objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to focus.
- Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is medium to loud.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and heat.
- Required to pass a background, physical, drug and alcohol screenings.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
