Trueline is seeking a Commercial Remodel Superintendent to join their team in Milwaukee, WI, with local travel across multiple active sites. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows retail remodel work, can keep several jobs moving at once, and takes pride in jobsite quality, pace, and organization.


What You'll Do as the Commercial Remodel Superintendent:

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations across 4-6 active grocery and retail remodel or buildout projects
  • Lead field crews and subcontractors with clear expectations around workmanship, urgency, safety, and jobsite standards
  • Keep multiple schedules on track at the same time, adjusting priorities as project needs shift
  • Coordinate materials, deliveries, site logistics, and sequencing to support efficient production
  • Walk sites regularly to monitor quality, progress, punch items, and overall field execution
  • Provide hands-on oversight for finish carpentry and interior buildout work
  • Support installation and coordination of trim, cabinets, doors, frames, hardware, suspended ceilings, and light metal trim details
  • Communicate with leadership, field teams, and other project stakeholders to keep projects aligned and moving
  • Help maintain clean, organized, professional jobsites in active retail environments

Must-Haves as the Commercial Remodel Superintendent:

  • Strong background in commercial finish carpentry
  • Experience managing multiple active job sites at the same time
  • Proven success leading crews in the field and holding a high bar for quality
  • Strong schedule management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced remodel environments with changing priorities
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Hands-on field leadership experience rather than PM-only experience

Nice-to-Haves as the Commercial Remodel Superintendent:

  • Grocery remodel experience
  • Retail remodel or tenant improvement experience
  • Experience working in occupied or active commercial environments
  • Background with fast-turn interior buildouts
  • 5-10 years of relevant field experience

This Role Offers:

  • Base salary of $105,000-$115,000
  • Bonus starting at 5% of base salary, with additional upside tied to performance
