This position assists with preparing financial reports, budgets, and internal analyses while supporting day-to-day financial operations. The role is designed to help advance financial tasks, reporting, and analytical work while the Director of Finance is engaged in executive meetings and strategic initiatives. The position also provides operational support to the accounting team as needed to ensure continuity of financial processes.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                      •Assist the Director of Finance with the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and supporting schedules. • Support the preparation and tracking of departmental budgets, financial forecasts, and budget analyses. • Prepare financial data, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for leadership meetings, executive discussions, and board presentations. • Assist in compiling financial information required for grant reporting, program budgets, and funding proposals. • Prepare draft financial analyses, projections, and cost comparisons based on guidance provided by the Director of Finance. • Assist with the development of financial models and analytical tools to support decision-making. • Support the preparation of financial materials for Finance Committee and Board of Directors meetings. • Coordinate with accounting staff and program departments to gather financial data required for reporting and analysis. • Track financial action items and assist in advancing ongoing financial projects while the Director of Finance is engaged in executive meetings or strategic initiatives. • Assist with special financial projects, financial research, and organizational initiatives as assigned. • Maintain organized documentation and files related to financial reports, budgets, and internal analyses. • Provide backup support to the Accounts Payable function when needed, including during staff absences or vacation periods, to ensure continuity of financial operations. • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely completion of financial tasks and departmental priorities. • Perform additional duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Strong analytical and organizational skills. • Ability to work with financial data and prepare clear financial summaries and reports. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with spreadsheets and financial documentation. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently once direction is provided. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, accounting staff, and program departments. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and financial data analysis tools. • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis support preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets required. Experience with accounting software systems preferred. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS: Noise level is moderate. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. May occasionally require evening hours during reporting cycles or special financial projects. Frequent wrist and hand movement (Typing, writing) Ability to work sitting, walking, and going up and down stairs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting finance leadership and organizational operations. Strong organizational and time management skills with close attention to detail. Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive financial information are required
