How you’ll make an impact in this role

Core Pharmacy Responsibilities:

Ensure accurate medication management, including selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing.

Conduct thorough medication order reviews to proactively identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related issues.

Recommend cost-effective, formulary-approved alternatives when clinically appropriate.

Prepare and compound medications for precise and timely patient delivery.

Act as a reliable source for drug information and provide educational resources to both medical staff and patients.

Maintain essential communication with physicians and other clinicians to ensure seamless patient care.

Supervisory and Academic Duties:

Supervise technical support personnel involved in the preparation, inventory, and dispensing of medications and supplies.

Contribute to academic programs, which may include serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students.

Flexible Coverage and Patient Care:

Provide efficient and effective patient counseling as required.

Be available to float to different areas to ensure comprehensive pharmacy coverage.


What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
