Standard Hours: 40.00

Shift: 1st

Shift Details: 0645-1815 depending on the location. Rotating Saturdays 0800-1200 at homebase. Float shifts encompass both opening and closing duties. Shifts can range from 4 hours to 12 hours, varying by laboratory site

Job Summary:

Responsible for phlebotomy, specimen processing, customer service and provides general office support in a clinic setting.

EXPERIENCE:

Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program of 6 months or related health care experience including direct patient contact is required. Phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 venipunctures is preferred.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

LICENSURE:

ASCP certification preferred.

TRAINING:

Formal training in phlebotomy, Medical Assistant training or equivalent or Health Unit Coordinator diploma.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Knowledge of medical terminology.
