Position Summary:
Lead and support program evaluation and research efforts working with local education agencies and non-profit organizations. Person will contribute mostly to work done as part of the Team GEAR UP evaluation with the Milwaukee Public Schools and the Microcredential Development Project with the Higher Education Regional Alliance. Employee will also contribute to other projects as needed. This will include study design, stakeholder engagement, field work, report and manuscript writing, and presenting results. This work will include both formative and summative work that involves survey design and analysis, logic modeling, and both qualitative and quantitative methods. Ability to work remotely, but will need to be present in Milwaukee monthly.
Duties:
Collects and analyzes basic research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results according to established policies and procedures
Manage partnerships with Milwaukee community organizations and schools
Conducts literature reviews, prepares reports and materials, and disseminates information to appropriate entities and assists with publications
Assists with the development of evaluation methodologies and procedures
Identifies concerns and recommend solutions to leadership
Assist in developing grant applications and proposals to secure funding

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Trains individuals and groups on equipment operations, research protocols, and techniques within a specialized laboratory or research area
- Assists in developing grant applications and proposals to secure research funding

Department:
The Office of Research, and its staff, are responsible for central research administration, oversight of research policy and compliance, and internal research development programs. The Office is part of The Chancellors Office and includes the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Office of Undergraduate Research, as well as several research
centers.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in program evaluation, education, psychology, sociology, applied research, public policy, or other related field.
Evidence of working a minimum of 5 years with K-12 schools to support their implementation of the GEAR UP program.
Evidence of working with post-secondary institutions in the development of Micro credentials.
Demonstrated effective writing and presentation skills, as evidenced from application materials.
Evidence of strong organizational skills

Evidence of successful independent project management
Evidence of working with a variety of K-12 stakeholders
5 years of experience working productively with the Milwaukee Public Schools.
Demonstrated track record of contributing to publications and presentations at conferences.

Compensation:
$ 80,000-$115,000 (Final salary offer will be determined based on qualifications and experience)
Education:
