We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Site/Civil AutoCAD Technician and Designer to join our expanding Civil Engineering Department in Minneapolis, MN or Milwaukee, WI. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners on high-impact projects that shape communities and elevate the human experience.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Develop detailed technical drawings and construction plans based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project goals and objectives and ensure seamless integration of design elements into overall project plans.
  • Create 2D and 3D models for land development infrastructure such as site layout, grading, roadways, and utilities.
  • Review and modify drawings to correct errors and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation to support in the editing and development of AutoCAD blocks, details, and CAD templates for use in drawings.

 

You will need to have:

 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree related to C3D drawing production or similar. Other drafting qualifications/certifications will be considered.
  • 2+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D software design and drafting experience.
  • Proficiency in the AutoCAD Civil3D software.
  • An understanding of site development design concepts including earthwork, site grading, utility design, etc.
  • Ability to read and translate civil site plans and survey drawings.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

 

Salary Information:

 

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $29.38/hr - $37.46/hr depending on qualifications and experience.
