Structural Project Engineer
Join our growing Structural team as a Structural Project Engineer. In this role you will work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a project engineer you will perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs, and supporting calculations / documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients.Â
Location
This position will be in our office in Milwaukee, WI.
The Impact You Will Have
- Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.
- Draw design details under direction of others.
- Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.
- Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.
- Coordinate drafting of an element.
- Perform field or site visits as needed.
- Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.
What We Are Looking For
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
- PE License in Wisconsin or ability to obtain through reciprocity
- Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) – not required, but preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of design, load rating and inspection experience
- Experience working with WisDOT and/or municipalities
- Excellent communication and client relation skills
- Progressive experience with developing contract and utilizing MicroStation Connects, Open Roads and Open Bridge Design software
