Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Training Specialist reporting to the Training Department Supervisor, you will lead and oversee a team of three Packaging Operator Trainers within our manufacturing plant. Your primary focus will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality training that aligns with HellermannTyton standards, fosters employee development, and helps to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Your flexibility, attention to detail, and commitment to upholding our corporate policies and procedures will be crucial in achieving success.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and guide a team of Packaging Operator Trainers across three shifts, ensuring consistent training delivery.
  • Stay current on HellermannTyton policies and procedures, and effectively communicate changes to the trainers.
  • Maintain accurate training records to track employee competency levels.
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify growth opportunities for their careers.
  • Collaborate with the Training Department Supervisor to provide coverage for shift trainers when needed.

Other Functions

  • Provide support on the shop floor during peak workload or staffing shortages.
  • Conduct training sessions with an emphasis on policies, procedures, and 5S standards.
  • Utilize your expertise in production procedures and automated packing equipment operation.
  • Foster effective communication with support departments and exhibit strong teamwork.

What You'll Bring

  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform simple math tasks.
  • Proficiency in reading and following detailed instructions.
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and multitasking skills.
