Organizational Overview

Notre Dame School of Milwaukee is a Catholic School founded by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Milwaukee, WI.  The school was founded in 1996 as Notre Dame Middle School, an all girls 5th-8th grade middle school to serve Latinas on the southside of Milwaukee. Today Notre Dame School of Milwaukee is a Grade K3-8 Catholic school sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. It has a co-education primary school serving boys and girls in a Spanish and English dual language model.  NDSM addresses the urgent, critical needs of the community through student-focused education.  We currently serve over 690 students across three campuses and we have both an all-boys and all-girls middle school, a co-ed primary school, and an Early Childhood Education program.  To learn more please visit our website at www.notredamemke.org.

Areas of Responsibility: Academics

Position Overview: The ASP Office Administrator serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and orderly school entrance by following all school safety and visitor-management procedures, while also providing professional telephone and front-office support after school hours.

Education/Experience:  

  • High School degree
  • Office and Customer Service Experience
  • Communication skills with proficiency in both English and Spanish

Responsibilities:

  • Professionally represents the school in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students. 
  • Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries
  • Performs general office duties, including answering multi-line phones, routing telephone calls or messages to appropriate staff, greeting the public
  • Assists parents, students, and teachers with translations
  • Calls home if a student suffers an accident or the child feels sick. Assists the students in cases in which they are bleeding or vomiting, always follows the security norms and uses gloves. Files an accident report, keeps it in the correct binder, and provides the Assistant Vice President of Finance and Benefits with a copy
  • Assists the ASP Director in anything that they need
  • Maintains professionalism and is polite in all personal contact
  • Informs the ASP of any situation that must be brought to his/her attention
