Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-focused Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Hampton Inn in Milwaukee WI. The Front Desk Clerk will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, handling check-ins and check-outs, and assisting guests with inquiries and requests. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Check-In and Check-Out:
   - Greet guests upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in process.Â
   - Verify guest information, process payments, and issue room keys.Â
   - Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.Â
   - Handle check-outs efficiently, processing payments and issuing receipts.Â
- Customer Service:
   - Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously.Â
   - Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.Â
   - Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service to enhance their experience.Â
   - Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.Â
- Reservation Management:
   - Assist guests with making reservations, modifications, and cancellations.Â
   - Update reservation system with accurate guest information and special requests.Â
   - Ensure room availability and assign rooms based on guest preferences and hotel policies.Â
- Administrative Tasks:
   - Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, including charges and payments.Â
   - Prepare daily reports and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.Â
   - Assist with administrative duties, including answering phones and responding to emails.Â
- Safety and Security:
   - Monitor the lobby and front desk area to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.Â
   - Follow emergency procedures and protocols in case of incidents or emergencies.Â
   - Report any safety hazards or security concerns to management immediately.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.Â
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.Â
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Â
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Â
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Â
- Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office and hotel management systems.Â
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Â
