Our mission is to provide safe, enriching, and person-centered services that support individuals with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, brain injuries, and mental health or behavioral challenges—supported by a leadership team that values collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Program Director to oversee daily operations, lead staff, and drive program growth and quality. In this role, you will provide leadership to Program Managers and staff, ensure compliance and fiscal responsibility, maintain strong relationships with families and referral partners, and support the overall health, safety, and well-being of the individuals we serve. Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure safe, high-quality, person-centered services and compliance with agency policies and procedures
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and mentorship to Program Managers and support staff
  • Support staff during participant interventions and serve as a leadership role model across the site
  • Maintain a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven team culture

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Develop and manage the annual site budget and participate in monthly financial reviews
  • Monitor census, program performance, and operational trends
  • Partner with leadership on strategic planning and site growth initiatives
  • Develop and implement marketing and revenue strategies to maintain sustainable enrollment

Admissions, Partnerships & Growth

  • Serve as primary liaison with families, guardians, case managers, and referral sources
  • Oversee referrals, tours, pre-admission assessments, and admissions processes
  • Build and maintain strong community and customer relationships

Workforce Leadership & HR Oversight

  • Support employee engagement, professional development, and retention
  • Manage scheduling, payroll approvals, and personnel documentation in compliance with company policies

Service Authorization & Compliance

  • Ensure accuracy of participant authorizations, attendance tracking, and service documentation
  • Review units of service and ensure readiness for billing
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with safety, emergency, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus at least two years of post-secondary education in human services or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Minimum of five years of experience in day programs, schools, camps, recreational, or residential settings
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, brain injuries, or behavioral/mental health needs preferred

Required Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to maintain a calm and effective demeanor in emergency and stressful situations.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and  communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to person-centered services and team development

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to assist with participant activities, including lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work in environments that may be noisy, active, or involve exposure to cleaning agents or bodily fluids
