The Quality Technician performs quality inspections of manufactured products, processes RMA (returned material from customers), inspects purchased parts and components to ensure customer specifications and production quality standards are being met.   PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing throughout the entire production process. Execute current gage calibration program. Audit fabrication departments through assembly area to ensure proper operations. Conduct quality inspection and quality audits and isolate product that does not meet standards. Process Returned Material Authorization (RMA) items. Know how to uses gages such as calipers, micrometers etc to confirm dimensional accuracy. Process nonconforming material reports. Maintain highest possible housekeeping standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications  QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to be successful in this role. High school diploma, or equivalent, required; 2- year degree preferred. 1 - 3 year’s prior production/manufacturing experience. Ability to reading and interpreting drawings/blueprints, GD&T. Hands on experience with electronic and mechanical inspection equipment: Calipers, Micrometers, Height stands, Gage blocks/Pin gages, Thread gages, etc. Strong analytical skills, generate graphs and charts. Strong Root Cause Analysis, 8D problem solving. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
