About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Oncologist for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Wisconsin. This 22-day assignment is split into two periods: June 27 - July 7, 2025, and August 30 - September 9, 2025. The role involves primarily treatment management, with occasional emergency new patients, machine supervision, and follow-ups. The physician will also conduct pre-planned simulations and manage a light clinic schedule. Work hours are 8 AM to 5 PM for clinic days, followed by on-call duties until the next day. This opportunity offers a chance to provide specialized care in a hospital setting while enjoying the flexibility of locum work.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Manage radiation treatment plans for existing patients 

• Handle emergency new patient consultations as needed 

• Supervise radiation therapy machines and procedures 

• Conduct follow-up appointments with patients 

• Perform pre-planned simulations 

• Utilize Epic and Mosaiq systems for patient documentation and treatment planning 

• Collaborate with other oncology team members 

• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled 

• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and radiation safety procedures 

• Participate in quality assurance activities related to radiation therapy

Additional Information: 

• Experience in radiation oncology required 

• Comfort with treatment management and light clinic schedule essential 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work efficiently in a hospital environment 

• Current Wisconsin medical license required
