Voyager Technologies is searching for Production Operators at our GOEX black powder manufacturing facility in Minden, Louisiana. The Production Operator performs manual production tasks, including tending to and running production machines, moving material, preparing packaging material, and packaging finished product.Â
Â
This job requires working with explosives. You will be required to dress out in work-specific clothes issued to you by the company and shower at the end of each working day. The work environment is partly outdoors. Teamwork is especially important here in all aspects of the job as we strive for safety.Â
 Responsibilities: Â
- Perform manual production tasks, including tending to and running production machines, staging materials to include weighing and moving material, preparing packaging material, and packaging finished product.Â
- Record production data, batch information, and/or material usage accurately.Â
- Safely operate forklifts to transport raw materials, finished goods, and waste within the facility.Â
- Work safely by accurately and strictly following established standard operating procedures.Â
- Follow all company safety protocols including PPE usage, spill response, and chemical handling procedures.Â
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to support safe and efficient operations.Â
- Perform routine inspections of your area and report any maintenance issues on equipment or buildings to ensure operational readiness.Â
- Collaborate with team members, maintenance techs and supervisors to meet production targets and resolve issues. Work closely with other production workers, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other employees.Â
Required Qualifications:Â Â
- High school diploma or GED must be able to read and understand English and do simple mathÂ
- Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses, includingÂ
- Be 21 years of age or olderÂ
- Pass pre-employment drug testÂ
- Pass State and Federal background checks.Â
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Prior experience in manufacturing chemicals or dry powder and/or working with explosivesÂ
