Day to day as a Human Resources Generalist

As a Human Resources Generalist at Minden Medical Center, your day-to-day expectations will involve a diverse range of responsibilities focused on fostering a supportive work environment. Two years professional office experience is required. You can expect to collaborate closely with various departments to address employe relations issues and promote a culture of excellence. Additionally, you will be involved in performance management processes and employee relations initiatives.

Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday on site, ensuring a balanced work-life rhythm while contributing to our mission of customer-centric service and high performance.

Requirements for thE HR Generalist

To thrive as a Human Resources Generalist at Minden Medical Center, several key skills are necessary for success. Two years professional office experience is required, with one year in Human Resources strongly preferred; experience with Workers Compensation; HRIS systems and onboarding strongly preferred. Computer knowledge to include Word and Excel required; Canva experience strongly preferred; Excellent interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communications skills as well as organization skills and be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment required. Payroll & HRIS systems, UKG/Kronos is strongly preferred. Strong organization skills and attention to detail is required. Daily tasks will also include handling employee inquiries, manage HR documentation, and maintain compliance with payroll/labor regulations and processing payroll. Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to effectively interact with employees at all levels and convey important information clearly. You should possess excellent problem-solving abilities to address employee concerns and navigate complex situations with empathy and integrity. A solid understanding of HR and Payroll principles, compliance, and employee relations is critical, along with the ability to think strategically and contribute to the organization's continuous improvement.

Being customer-centric is a must, as you'll be advocating for both staff and operational needs. Adaptability and attention to detail will help you manage multiple tasks efficiently in our dynamic healthcare environment.
