Minden Medical Center is seeking a well-organized Nurse Manager to lead our Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit with steady, patient-centered leadership that is customer service focused. This role ensures safe, consistent Psychiatric Nursing care as exceptional leadership with our staff.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily clinical operations, coordinating care with providers, supporting staff performance and development, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, and promoting strong Customer Service across the unit.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Registered Nurse with current licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
- Master's degree in psychiatric/mental health nursing (or equivalent) from a National League for Nursing-accredited school of nursing, or at least three (3) years of clinical RN experience providing psychiatric nursing care
- Psychiatric nursing experience must be in an acute care hospital psychiatric unit or a psychiatric hospital
- Proven Leadership skills and ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism

Youd day will include evaluating clinical needs of the Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit census and unit flow, then touch base with charge staff to confirm priorities and patient needs. Throughout the day, you round to stay connected to the environment and patient experience, step into quick huddles to remove barriers, and handle time-sensitive questions that come up in Psychiatric Nursing care. You'll also make space for coaching conversations, check in on service recovery opportunities to reinforce Customer Service, and wrap up by reviewing key updates so the next shift is set up for success.
