The Opportunity

Minden Medical Center is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse - RN 7p-7a in Minden to deliver safe, high-quality care on the night shift.

Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient status and responding to changes
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Developing and updating nursing care plans
- Educating patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to support patient safety

Required qualifications/skills:
- Current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing (1 year Nursery/NICU/L&D preferred)
- CPR required
- NRP within 8 weeks of hire
- Fetal Heart Monitoring preferred
- Willingness to train and float between labor unit, post-partum/GYN floor, and nursery

Nights on the Unit

Your 7p-7a shift starts with a focused handoff and a quick scan of priorities for the night. You'll pace your work through quieter stretches and high-acuity moments, staying organized while keeping patients and families informed. Expect frequent teamwork-touching base with providers and peers, adjusting plans as the night evolves, and using downtime to document thoroughly and prepare for morning transitions. As the shift wraps, you'll help ensure a smooth, detailed report so the next team can pick up with confidence.
