Licensed Veterinary Technician

VCA Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center of Westbury, is growing and to better support the pets and people in our community we are in search of a licensed veterinary technician (or licensed eligible) to be a part of our growing ER/ICU hospital team!  

Compensation: $31 - $37 /  hour based on skill set, and licensure status (LVT)

Potential Schedule: weekday, and weekend rotation

ICU Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring
• Ability to calculate drug doses
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients
• Imaging and advanced procedures
• Paid on-call availability
