Staff Accountant II (On-site)

Responsibilities:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions for Ziegler and/or related entities
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting standards with ability to account for complex transactions, such as capitalizing versus expensing, lease accounting, and inventory valuation
• Managing all aspects of lease accounting under ASC 842, including new leases, modifications, and terminations
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
• Assist with monthly financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Serve as back up for various daily and monthly cash activities
• Handle Month and Year End close
• Reconcile various accounts, including bank accounts and general ledger accounts, to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; accounting, finance or business related preferred
• 3-5 years of related work experience
• CPA or working towards certification preferred
• Personal Attributes: Attention to Detail, Commitment / Dependability, Integrity, Problem Solving, Efficiency
• Advanced Microsoft skills, specifically Microsoft Excel

The pay range for this position is

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
