POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Roll-off Truck Driver

Date: 01/10/2024

Reports to: Transportation Manager 

Supervisory responsibilities: No

Classification: Nonexempt

Status: Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The roll-off truck driver position is responsible for roll-off collection services to ensure that various materials are transported and disposed of in an appropriate manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Operates heavy duty commercial trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-offs 
  2. Performs required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports 
  3. Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
  4. Maintains all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs 
  5. Maintains and protects all property  
  6. Informs on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehicles 
  7. Maintains various records and/or logs as needed per DOT regulations
  8. Fuels truck at the end of each workday 
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications:

  1. Have a valid Minnesota CDL Class A or B driver’s license 
  2. Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid health card and license 
  3. Ability to lift up 40 pounds 
  4. Driver must be 21 years old per DOT.

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Must have a clean driving record

WORK CONDITIONS
Outdoor environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions; work with and around heavy machinery; exposure to dust and fumes from motorized equipment; exposure to noise, odors and gases; exposure to heavy traffic conditions, possible exposure to toxic chemicals.
