SUMMARY:Â
Mortenson’s Data Center Structured Cabling Team is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Scheduler II with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This individual will perform routine oversight of all planning and scheduling activities.
Locations:Â Minneapolis HQ or Onsite
Travel: Traveling role onsite or 50% Travel
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activitiesÂ
- Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
- Ensure that corporate planning and schedule stands are implemented and that all project related activities comply
Provide oversight and supervision of scheduling teamÂ
- Coach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents
- Establish and nurture teamwork environment
- Ensure crews have resources and support
- Provide work direction and performance evaluations
- Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if neededÂ
- Develop leadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunities
- Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project site
- Manage open shop and union issues

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent fieldÂ
- Minimum of six (6) years of construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software such as P6 & PowerProject
- Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencingÂ
- Shown ability to exercise creativity and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems on complex projectsÂ
- Strong plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skillsÂ
- Basic knowledge of project management, contracts, and buyoutÂ
- Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologiesÂ
- Strong organization and team skillsÂ
- Basic knowledge of cost and resource loaded schedulesÂ
- Basic knowledge of claims avoidance and resolution techniquesÂ
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environmentÂ
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions
- Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
- Excellent oral and written communication skillsÂ
- Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedbackÂ
- Ability to travel may be required based on operating group
- Current driver’s license

The base compensation range for this role is: $107,200 - $160,800 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%) Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.  Â
