SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Electrical Superintendent in our Power Delivery Services Group with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise; along with the capability to creatively problem-solve and bring together viable solutions. This individual will provide coordination and supervision of electricians and crews on solar project sites.Â

RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Coordinate work projects within the electrical scope of the solar siteÂ
- Partner with Electrical Superintendent in electrical material, equipment sizing, and site utilization planÂ
- Work with Electrical Superintendent in development of project schedules and updates, and creation of 3-week look-aheadÂ
- Ensure work teams have needed resources and supportÂ
- Supervise and ensure quality control of work team, including self-performed and subcontracted workÂ
- Attend and participate in project meetings, act as liaison between field engineers and contractors or craft workers to ensure compliance with drawings and specificationsÂ
- Supervise and provide leadership for electrical teamÂ
- Coach, mentor, and train craftsÂ
- Establish and nurture teamwork environment, promoting inclusivity and valuing diversityÂ
- Monitor work progress and performance of crafts, forepersons, and subcontractorsÂ
- Implement and monitor Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project siteÂ
- Lead subcontractors and suppliers for the projectÂ
- Supervise budget and make recommendations for subcontractors and trade partnersÂ
- Lead project buyout with subcontractors and trade partnersÂ
- Facilitate and lead meetings between subcontractors for project coordinationÂ
- Perform on-site Project Manager duties on small scope projectsÂ
- Implement a quality plan ensuring customer’s specified performance criteria in design and constructionÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experienceÂ
- Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsÂ
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksÂ
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesÂ
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelÂ
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsÂ
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesÂ
- Minimum five years construction/supervision experience, working with medium and high voltage projectsÂ
- Experience with self-perform projectsÂ
- Current driver’s license Â
- Ability to travel up to 100%Â Â

The base pay range for this role is $102,900 - $154,400. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
