The Audit Associate at Sleep Number will be responsible for providing objective assessments of the Company’s internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and operational controls, governance, and risk management. With these findings and in partnership with their leader, this person will offer remedies and recommendations when operational improvement is necessary. Â

Primary ResponsibilitiesÂ
Conduct routine internal audits and SOX compliance testing, identify and evaluate risk areas, conduct interviews, collect and analyze evidence, and execute and complete testing of SOX controls under the direct supervision of your leader.Â
Prepare workpapers to support findings and construct audit reports that are relevant, valid, and clearly stated.Â
Act as a consultant to the organization to make recommendations regarding business processes, controls, and enhancements. Â
Communicate progress of management corrective action implementation.Â
Identify the risks identified through audits to your leader and offer recommendations to reduce risk.Â

Position RequirementsÂ
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or management information systemsÂ
0-3 years of Corporate Auditing or Public Accounting experienceÂ
0-3 years of SOX audit experience preferredÂ
CPA / CIA / CFE preferredÂ

Knowledge Skills & AbilitiesÂ
Â
Knowledge of relevant auditing and risk management standards and principles, such as the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology)Â
Demonstrated skills in the areas of communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and problem-solving.Â
Ability to drive continuous improvement with a strong customer-centric mindsetÂ
