SUMMARYÂ
Mortenson is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Solar who will be responsible for partnering with the project manager from bid preparation through final client acceptance. Lead, coach, and mentor project team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform cost control and financial managementÂ
Work with Preconstruction on project estimate and scheduleÂ
Coordinate scopes of workÂ
Review and compile pay applications, change requests, and other project financial documentationÂ
Partner with the Project Manager or Construction ExecutiveÂ
Draft client proposalsÂ
Contract administration and managementÂ
Award subcontractsÂ
Provide direction to the project team for safe and timely project completionÂ
Act as liaison for project engineers, mentor and coach othersÂ
Provide job assignments and manage career developmentÂ
Direct responsibilities and guide Field Engineer(s) and Project Engineer(s)Â
Manage subcontractors and suppliers for the projectÂ
Supervise budget for and make recommendations for subcontractors and trade partnersÂ
Lead project buyout with subcontractors and trade partnersÂ
Facilitate and lead meetings between subcontractors related to project coordinationÂ
Other duties as assigned, including:Â
Perform on-site Project Manager duties on small scope projectsÂ
Implement a quality plan that ensures the customer’s specified performance criteria in design and construction
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsÂ
Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance
Â
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, orÂ
equivalent experienceÂ
Minimum five years of related previous experienceÂ
Current driver’s license
Shown ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksÂ
Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesÂ
Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelÂ
Shown positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesÂ
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Ability to travel up to 100%

The base pay range for this role is $102,000 - $137,700.Â
(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). If applicable: This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.Â
