Job Overview

Fairview has an immediate opening for a CPC Aide to join our team at the UMMC West Bank Hospital located in Minneapolis, MN.

 

This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks), benefit-eligible position that will work evening shift, Monday through Friday from 2:30PM - 11PM. On occasion, the ability to flex 2 hours before or after the designated start time due to department business needs.

 

Summary:

 

The CPC Aide will work alongside Sterile Processing staff to pick-up, deliver, and scan case carts and trays to and from other West Bank departments, assist with the building of case carts, and store instruments and trays.

 

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a runner within the department, hospitals, and off-sites.
  • Distributes instruments and/or case carts to the accurate surgical case and hospital site. Transports instruments and supplies between processing areas and sites.
  • Maintains OR Sterile Stores and specialty service instrument inventory.
  • Aligns with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provides continuous quality improvement checks surrounding instrument spraying.
  • Proficiently communicates to all levels of the medical profession through television conversations, email or in person.
  • Responds to emergency supply/instrumentation requests.
  • Collaborates with others to achieve a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year sterile processing or related experience
