Title: Fulfillment Pick-Pack Helper I

Job Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt

Department: Fulfillment

Reports To: Fulfillment Operations Manager

 

General purpose of Job: Learn the basic understanding of pick/pack order fulfillment.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read & understand packing slips.
  • Know & follow Fulfillment's Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for the quality and quantity of each assigned job.
  • Act as team leader for assigned workers (temps), responsible for correct, accurate & quality outcome of all tasks on their machine. Immediately report any production issues to shift supervisor.
  • Ability to double check each picked order and understand each product for our customers.
  • Able to read & understand all associated forms & paperwork.
  • Ability to package material in a manner that is efficient and looks very presentable.
  • Keep production areas clean at all times.
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

 

Performance Measurement: Performance feedback will take place both verbally and written on a day-to-day as needed basis, recognition in monthly employee recognition meetings, formal training on changes in SOP as needed with a formal review by the supervisor at least annually

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED. 3-6 months of related experience.

Language and Math Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of one & two syllable words. Also to print & speak simple sentences. Ability to add & subtract two digit numbers and to multiply & divide with 10s & 100s.

Physical Demands:

Standing or walking most of the day, may climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, often lift up to 40 lbs & occasionally up to 70 lbs. Constant use of hands and arms. Regularly reach with hands and arms, including reaching above shoulder level. Vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, & ability to focus.

Work Environment:

Work near moving mechanical parts, fumes & air borne particles, risk of electrical shock, and exposure to toxic chemicals. The noise level is moderate too loud.
