Position Overview:

The Construction Health & Safety Advisor delivers high-quality construction safety services while fostering operational efficiency, regulatory accuracy, and strong client relationships. This role balances hands-on field execution with technical advisory responsibilities to ensure OSHA-compliant safety practices across assigned clients.

As the primary point of contact, the Advisor conducts safety assessments, develops and implements safety programs, facilitates employee training, and leads safety committee meetings. They maintain documentation, track performance, and identify opportunities to improve client safety culture and compliance outcomes.

The Advisor also contributes to scalable service delivery, supports departmental performance goals, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to model U.S. Compliance core competencies such as accountability, clear communication, initiative, organization, problem solving, and collaboration.

Primary Functions:

  • Client Success & Technical Support
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to assigned construction clients, providing technical and regulatory guidance on OSHA 1926 and other applicable safety regulations.
    • Conduct on-site safety assessments, employee training, and safety committee facilitation to drive measurable improvements in client safety performance.
    • Develop, write, and edit OSHA-compliant safety programs and policies.
    • Review and approve client deliverables to ensure regulatory compliance, accuracy, and alignment with company standards.
    • Support at-risk client engagements and maintain strong client retention and satisfaction.
  • Field Leadership & Relationship Management
    • Build lasting, trust-based relationships with client teams, including general contractors, subcontractors, and project leadership.
    • Represent U.S. Compliance as a premium safety partner through consistent, high-quality field execution and professional conduct.
    • Provide guidance on client safety culture, risk mitigation, and operational best practices.
  • Operational Management & Process Improvement
    • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and follow-up on client visits and safety initiatives.
    • Identify recurring risks, process inefficiencies, or gaps in client safety programs and recommend improvements.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to support scalable systems, technology-enabled reporting, and client service delivery.
  • Professional Development & Industry Engagement
    • Stay current on construction safety regulations, OSHA standards, and industry trends.
    • Participate in internal training and mentorship opportunities to enhance personal and departmental technical proficiency.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Construction Safety Services team.

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction health and safety experience preferred.
  • CSP, CHST, or ASP credentials strongly preferred.
  • Proven technical expertise in OSHA 1926 and other applicable construction safety regulations, including state- or region-specific requirements.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs on active construction sites.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills; able to earn trust quickly with clients and site teams.
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence client safety culture and drive measurable improvements.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Comfortable traveling 1–3 nights per month to support client needs; location: Minneapolis, MN (relocation assistance available).

$80,000—$105,000 USD
