Summary
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s human capital, culture, and risk management. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and maintenance of the company’s policy and procedures, and governing materials, rules, and regulations.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the VP of Finance to develop, communicate, and execute a holistic people strategy and workforce plan.
- Respond to employee grievances and manage and advise on full cycle employee relations processes.
- Conduct, document, coach, and direct employee investigations. Advise and hold leadership team and other key stakeholders accountable to action plans derived from the employee investigations and any allegations that would warrant immediate disciplinary action and/or termination of employment.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including FMLA and ADA.
- Create, improve, and manage enterprise-wide programs and services that result in driving operational efficiencies, human resources processes, and overall employee engagement.
- Manage and implement procedures, checks and balances, and coach and train leadership team to reduce risk mitigation, employment law claims, and company exposure. Manage and review companywide communications as applicable.
- Ensure acting policies, procedures, systems, and data, appropriately reflect local, state, federal employment laws.
- Champion the Human Resources Information System to ensure timely, complete, and accurate records, full utilization of system capabilities, and appropriate security for information accessible to other departments.
- Oversee all benefits and compensation policies and procedures. Create, manage, and maintain up-to-date market rate salary indicators cross-functionally for roles within the Company.
- Drive equal employment opportunities and pay equity by conducting salary market reviews.
- Create, maintain, and update salary ranges and pay caps. Act as a key advisor on the salary guidelines and act independently when making salary decisions for new hires and business decisions.
- Provide strategic direction, creative solutions, and execution of deliverables related to staffing and retention, succession management, talent development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and performance management.
- Maintain a high-performance culture and implement best practices to continuously improve efficiency and overall effectiveness of the Company’s operatives.
- Partner with the executive leadership team to understand and prioritize the critical business challenges.
- Ensures fair, impartial, and consistent application of company and regulatory policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Responsible for human resources legal matters (e.g., unemployment and workers’ compensation claims, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and other external inquiries).
- Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company’s human capital and risk mitigation.
- Identify, design, and implement leadership training and development programs to drive Company goals and growth plans.
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in ADP
- PHR and SPHR certified.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Communications or a directly related field.
- 6 or more years of experience managing human resources personnel and companywide human capital operatives.
- Fluent in English, verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
The noise level of this position is usually moderate. The Human Resource Manager is required to travel up to 5% of the time. The remaining 95% of the time is time worked in the home offices.
