Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Medical Assistant to join our Bariatrics team!  Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day. 

Position Summary:

Utilizing broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, aids providers in accordance with PNHS standard and policies.

Work Schedule:

Fulltime .8 FTE Variable Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong clinical and human relations skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
  • Safely and effectively operate the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (depending upon specialty area), Personal Computer, Photocopier, Printer, FAX Machine, and Telephone.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  • One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
