Job Overview

Aurora on France TCU is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Ebenezer Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care)! This role provides hands on care and patient support services for our adult short stay patients at our spacious care center TCU in Edina, MN.

 

This position includes: 

  • 64 hours per two weeks 
  • Night shift - Earn extra pay for night shifts
  • Every other weekend Sat/Sunday and holiday rotation

Aurora on France is a new, innovative senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital in the heart of Edina, MN.   Located conveniently near Hwy. 62 and France Ave. and is on a bus line.  Aurora has 136 units offering a full continuum of care including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care.  We offer employees many benefits including free meals if you work a double shift, beautiful walking paths for your breaks and opportunities for growth both in the TCU and Assisted Living.

 

Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals
AM/PM/NOC cares; including peri care and catheter care
May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance
Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
Chart or document in electronic medical record system
Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns
Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift
Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner


Required:
Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date – OR- Individual who is hired into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer’s Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4-month post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.)

 

Preferred:
Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population
Communicate efficiently, with compassion and understanding for residents and coworkers
Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant
Work experience in a customer service setting
