Fairview is looking for a Nutrition Service Aide to join our team at our University of MN Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.  The Nutrition Services Aide prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner. Serves customers, delivers, and retrieves patient trays.

 

Position Details

  • 0.5 FTE (40 hours per pay period)
  • day shift
  • Every other weekend

 

 

Schedule

Week 1:
Wednesday- 7:00AM-3:30PM
Friday- 7:00AM-3:30PM
Week 2:
Wednesday- 7:00AM-3:30PM
Saturday- 6:30AM- 3:00PM
Sunday- 6:30AM-3:00PM



Responsibilities

  • Prepares and portions food appropriately for designated areas.
  • Plates and serves food.
  • Handles and stores food in a safe manner following HACCP standard operation procedures.
  • Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designated procedures.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
  • Serves customers in cafeterias, doctors dining rooms and other non-patient locations.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.


Required Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, using the English language. Basic math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or
  • GED
