Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while bringing an agile and reliable approach to daily responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $28.79 / Hour

Minimum 3 plus years of Security experience Or prior Law Enforcement or Military experience required

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe daily activity across the location to help to identify suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns for follow-up.
• Support retail operations by assisting with de-escalation, directing foot traffic, and communicating professionally with store leadership, customers, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
